Terms & Conditions
Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Funding Life. The Funding Life will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Funding Life.
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.
The Funding Life will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.
The Funding Life will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the Funding Life.
Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Funding Life.
The Funding Life will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Funding Life.
The Funding Life will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the Funding Life will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.
The Funding Life will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the Funding Life.
Your Gift
By participating in a Funding Life Corporation program or fundraising campaign, you have given a donation to the selected charitable campaign through your selected electronic credit card or funding service. Your donation may appear as Funding Life or the specifically designated charity on your bill or statement of account. You understand that your contribution is being made to The Funding Life Corporation , which will distribute your donation to your designated charitable campaign or scholarship fund as a identified by your contribution. As required by the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”), The Funding Life Corporation has exclusive legal control over the donation. You designate your campaign/scholarship of choice by contributing to a specific campaign. Once you give a donation, The Funding Life Corporation has exclusive legal control over the donated monies.
Tax Deductibility
Your donation is tax deductible. Please talk with your financial adviser to learn more about your donation. You will automatically receive a receipt for your donation via email from our automated system at the time your donation has been confirmed. Please be sure to keep a copy of this receipt for your tax records. If needed, you may contact us at pbeach@wefundlife.com and we will provide you with an additional copy of your electronic receipt.
Refunds
Gifts to The Funding Life Corporation through the wefundlife.com website are immediate and irrevocable which means we cannot cancel your donation.
Privacy
When making a donation through wefundlife.com, a variety of personal information will be collected and shared with the campaign or fund you indicate. We may send you additional messages. If at any time you wish to discontinue such messages, you may opt-out in accordance with these terms.
